What gear do you use?
I’ve been with Canon from the beginning! I currently am shooting with an R5 & R6. My favorite lens is my 2.8 24-70mm. It gives me enough variety of all the angles without needing to switch lenses. Each lens has a special place for what type of emotion I’m looking to evoke as well. My second favorite is my 2.8 70-200mm!
What is your favorite subject to photograph?
Honestly, I REALLY love to photograph clouds! It might sound kind of funny, but they’re like a special new painting each day in the sky.
Who shoots weddings with you?
My husband, Ramsey, has been shooting weddings with me since 2018! If he’s unavailable, I have 3 other amazing photographers I’ve been working with for years. Ramsey and I both went to college for photojournalism, and although he pursued woodworking, he still has a great eye and quite the talent for capturing moments with a journalistic twist.
Do you have any kids?
I do not! I have stage 4 breast cancer that is ER/PR + HER2-, and my treatment involves my oncology team pushing me into menopause early. My husband and I did conceive in late 2020, but lost the baby in early 2021. Then a year and a half later I found out my cancer had metastasized and ate my left hip joint. BUT! We did get an adorable husky mix, named Butters, that is our furbaby!
